Saudi publisher hosts uni game dev league



Saudi publisher Nine66, part of Savvy Games Group, is running a game development challenge for universities across the globe.


UniGameDev is a free competition for university game developers around the world, open to all kinds of games on various digital platforms.


Competing teams are given five tasks of varying length, difficulty and themes. The best two teams then travel to Riyadh for the Grand Finale.


One university can put forward an unlimited number of teams and each team must have from 3-10 members. The team members can be faculty, students or alumni and team members can be replaced, added or removed during the competition.


Votes are cast by a jury, other participants and the public. Each of these will count for 1/3 of votes, with votes being cast jury and participants voting once per month and the public voting open continuously.
