Who is Msdossary? Saudi FIFA star profile


Musaed 'Msdossary' Al Dossary is a Saudi Arabian professional FIFA player and the founder of Saudi Esports organisation Team Falcons, where he also acts as chairman. Widely regarded as one of the best FIFA Pro Players in the world, Msdossary shot to global fame in 2018 when he won the FIFA eWord Cup Grand Final at just 18.


His 4-0 aggregate victory over Belgium's Stefano 'StefanoPinna' Pinna at the London event laid down a marker to the FIFA community - while also landing him the coveted $250,000 top prize.


He described the moment as a "dream come true" - but since then the dream hasn't stopped for the Saudi Arabian FIFA star.


Msdossary has gone on to win more than 20 trophies, including back-to-back Xbox World Championships - the only person do to so in FIFA's history. He's also scooped two Esports Player of the Year Awards to add to his accolades.


Msdossary was born in Al-Khobar, in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, where he grew up paying football regularly. His passion for the sport as both a child and adult is well-known, citing Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud Gullit as his biggest childhood idols.


"I always loved to play football and at some time, I wished that I would become a pro and play football, but my career in FIFA is good so I’m happy with it," he once said in an interview with Red Bull, who he also represents as an esports athlete.


He began his professional FIFA career in 2017 - just a year before he claimed the global crown - though he started playing the game frequently with his cousins and other family members at just eight years old.


As he became more aware of his talent, and support grew from his friends and family, Msdossary signed up for an international online FIFA 17 league, which saw him chalk up more than 40 wins during qualification - an unbeaten run that to him winning the final.


He has since represented multiple teams throughout his career, including Rogue, Tundra and Al-Ittihad, though now his focus lies on his own team, Falcons.


One of the main aims of Falcons is to create a platform from which the next generation of esports athletes can grow, and the company already boasts more than 80 players across nine gaming titles, and more than 150 employees in total.


Msdossary is a frequent speaker at major gaming and esports events across the region, from Next World Forum in Saudi Arabia to BLAST Premier in Abu Dhabi - and is seen as one of the region's burgeoning esports industry's leading figureheads.


"It is a great time to be in gaming in Saudi Arabia and the growth has been bigger and bigger," he once told UAE-based newspaper, The National.


"Over the past five years, we have seen more young Saudi players getting involved and the establishment of the Saudi Esports Federation.


We have now reached a stage where it has evolved from being a hobby to a thriving industry."
